Moving On

Bellyfusion is now well into its 3rd year and still going strong.  2012 was a challenging year of many changes, but we came through it stronger than ever.  With several enthusiastic new members, new dances and new costumes, 2013 promises to be the best year yet. We already have enough bookings to keep us busy for the next 6 months, however there is always room for more if anything exciting and fun comes along. 

The reason Bellyfusion came into being was simply for a group of ladies to have some fun and to this end we meet every week to dance, learn new choreography and chat. We decided that along with having a good time we could put our efforts to good use and raise a little money for a really worthwhile cause.

Some of our members have been with BellyFusion since its inception, others have joined to fill in the gaps when one of our previous members has left the group, but most of us  have all been dancing for many years, strictly as amateurs of course, and we all still enjoy this exciting and friendly way to keep fit and help others less fortunate than ourselves.

Our style is Fusion in its generic sense - we mix Turkish Bellydance with Egyptian, Flamenco with a touch of Bollywood and anything else that feels good.  With the aid of beautiful veils and silk fans, colourful sticks, finger cymbals and candles, we do our best to entertain and amuse.  

We dont aim to be perfect technicians, we dont class ourselves as professionals in any way, nor do we wish to take business away from those who do, we just want to enjoy our dancing and to prove that anybody of any age, size or ability can put on something sparkly, dance and have fun.  We love to dance, we want to show others how much fun it can be, and hopefully inspire them to get up and give it a go.  If we can find a way to combine our pleasure with raising money for good causes and prove at the same time that we ladies are never past our sell-by date....... well watch this space!

BellyFusion are available for private parties public events and local harity functions
