August 2011 saw Bellyfusion performing at the Pier Approach and at the Bandstand in Lower Gardens Bournemouth. Apart from a few issues with the sound equipment everything went well. Even the weather was kind to us and the rain stayed away. The "sound issues" cause some hilarity with the crowd as some of the dancers were improvising on the bandstand while the sound engineer fiddled with the cables
The pier approach was well attended and Saturday afternoon's performance was followed by an impromptu photoshoot on the beach in the middle of a regatta, much to the surprise and entertainment of the Announcer and crowd watching the canoes.
Three outdoor performances in three days, followed by a Pirate night out in Poole and culminating in performing at a hotel in town for the Gala Event on the 4th day really tested the group's stamina - luckily we all survived and cant wait to do it all again next year.
